Novak Djokovic will chase his 100th ATP title in Sunday’s Miami Open final against the young gun Jakub Mensik. The 24-time Major winner is competing in Miami for the first time since 2019. The six-time champion is happy with his level after dropping no sets in five matches.
If he tops Mensik, Djokovic will become the third player in the Open era with 100 ATP titles, joining Jimmy Connors and Roger Federer on the exclusive list. Novak’s 99th ATP title came at last year’s Olympic Games in Paris.
The legend slowed down a bit after claiming an elusive gold medal, playing only two tournaments by the end of the season. Djokovic skipped the ATP Finals, losing motivation a bit after completing the game of tennis with that 15th notable title in his collection.
The Serb entered the 2025 season with a motivation to chase more notable titles against the younger opponents. Novak defeated Carlos Alcaraz in the Australian Open quarter-final despite a leg injury. The veteran survived that challenge but retired in the semi-final against Alexander Zverev.

Djokovic fell to Matteo Berrettini in the first round in Doha and experienced another early loss in Indian Wells. However, he has revived his vibes in Miami, playing well at Hard Rock Stadium and chasing the elusive 100th ATP title against Jakub Mensik.
“Ever since I won my 99th ATP title at the Olympic Games last year, I have been playing with the prospect of winning the special 100th one. I lost a tight final of the Shanghai Masters and reached the semi-final of the Australian Open at the beginning of this season.
I have been trying to find that necessary and much-needed level of tennis that will put me in a position to fight for notable trophies. I have played at that level this week, and it makes me thrilled how I prepared for Miami and performed en route to the final.
I have not dropped a set, and this is a great opportunity to chase the 100th ATP title,” Novak Djokovic said.
