John Foster’s Moving Story Of Grief and Love
Not only did John Foster win the hearts of America with his smooth southern voice, but his story of grief moved the nation.
During Foster’s Top 20 performance, he sang an original song titled “Tell That Angel I Love Her.” The song is about his friend who tragically passed at 17 due to a car accident.

“Each tear that falls on my guitar
Is a hug from afar
Lord, won’t you tell that angel I love her?
As y’all live in the stars”
