The View co-host  a ‘hiatus,’ a day after the Trump administration called for its cancelation.

Behar, 82, dropped the news on Thursday’s show, saying: ‘Before we go on hiatus, we only have one more show after this.’

‘I’m allowed to say that, right?’ she appeared to say to someone off camera in a conspiratorial tone.

‘Too late now,’ co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin joked.

At the end of the program, co-host Whoopi Goldberg said the The View would return for a new season in September.

ABC did not respond to a request for comment. A source said the hiatus is part of the daytime show’s annual summer break.

The View typically takes a summer hiatus once a year. The hosts were away for a week for their yearly Fourth of July break, returning on July 7.

A day before Behar’s announcement, the White House issued a statement calling her ‘an irrelevant loser’ after she claimed on The View that Trump was ‘jealous’ of former President Barack Obama.

‘It’s no surprise that “The View’s” ratings hit an all-time low last year,’ a White House spokesperson said in response. ‘[Behar] should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump’s historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off air.’

Behar’s comments on Trump stemmed from the president saying that Obama should be criminally prosecuted for ‘treason’ over what Trump has called the Russian ‘hoax’ to bring him down.

‘First of all, who tried to overthrow the government on Jan. 6. Who was that again? That was not Obama,’ Behar said Wednesday’s show.

‘The thing about him is he’s so jealous of Obama, because Obama is everything that he is not: Trim, smart, handsome, happily married, and can sing Al Green’s song “Let’s Stay Together” better than Al Green. And Trump cannot stand it. It’s driving him crazy.’

On Thursday, Behar broached the backlash Trump has been receiving from Republicans regarding the release of the Epstein files, saying ‘the tide is turning’ against Trump.

‘Prior to this, they’ve been, you know, very much in acquiescence to the guy, but now that is changing and I feel positive about it. And optimistic,’ she said.

Trump was informed months ago by Attorney General Pam Bondi that his name appears ‘multiple times’ in the Epstein files, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal.

Meanwhile, CBS announced it was cancelling The Late Show with Stephen Colbert over what the network claimed was financial reasons.

The move was widely criticized as a strategy designed to appease Trump, who recently settled a defamation lawsuit suit he filed against CBS News and its parent company Paramount Global for $16 million.

Trump has denied having any deep ties to Epstein, despite being repeatedly photographed with the late financier in the 1990s and 2000s

The settlement was seen by several as means to secure approval from the Trump administration for Paramount’s pending merger with Skydance Media.

In a report, Puck attributed The Late Show’s cancelation to the fact that it has been losing $40 million a year due to declining ad revenue.

Colbert made clear he is not buying that narrative,  framing himself as ‘a martyr’ caught up in a greater conflict.
