On Wednesday, May 7, Sabrina Carpenter, 25, shared a carousel of snaps on Instagram of her night at the 2025 Met Gala in New York City on Monday — including a photo of Usher, 46, feeding her cherry.

While the post also featured many photos of her sporting her stylish Louis Vuitton bodysuit, as well as a snap of her sitting beside actress Jenna Ortega, Carpenter also added a screenshot of her dad, David, reacting to her being fed a cherry.

“? Weird,” David wrote to his daughter as he sent her a snap of the performance.

“Apologies Mr Carpenter 😅🍒,” the “Yeah!” the singer wrote.

“the text from your dad 😭,” one person commented, while a second added, “understandable reaction from Dadda.”
