American Idol Reveals Its Finalists For Season 23

After months of competing, John Foster is a member of American Idol‘s Top 3!

Idol revealed its three finalists during Monday night’s (May 12) episode. But first, the Top 5 contestants each delivered two covers of iconic Disney tunes. The episode also featured a Lilo & Stitch-themed performance from Season 21’s winner, Iam Tongi.

Finally, in a nail-biting moment, it was announced that America voted for Jamal Roberts, Breanna Nix, and John Foster to be their Top 3. Sadly, this meant Idol fans had to say “goodbye” to standout contestants Thunderstorm Artis and Slater Nalley.

Now, the Top 3 will travel back to their hometowns to celebrate their achievements and perform for their fans before the Season 23 finale. Those who live in Foster’s hometown of Addis, Louisiana, can see him there on Wednesday, May 14.

A parade will start at 5 PM in Addis, followed by a concert at the Bayou Plaquemine Waterfront Park at 7:30 PM in nearby Plaquemine. The gates open at 6:30 PM.

“I’m SO excited to go home and see everyone!” Foster shared in a post announcing the events. “Please make plans to join me at the parade in Addis, and then we’ll play some good country music at the waterfront park in Plaquemine!”
