Billionaire Jeff Bezos wore the wrong gear at a $40 million wedding, making the worst dressed top with Kim Kardashian, causing the fashion community to make waves last weekend.

The billionaire founder of Amazon and his fiancée Lauren Sanchez held a splendid wedding in Naples, Italy. The wedding, which is said to cost about $40 million, was attended by countless celebrities.

NFL legend Tom Brady, actress Sydney Sweeney, TV icon Oprah Winfrey and many other stars are said to have attended the lavish ceremony.

Bezos wears a classic black and white tuxedo on the big day. However, according to men’s fashion expert Derek Guy, his wedding suit has a “big problem”. Guy pointed out this flaw on X (formerly Twitter) over the weekend.

Bezos is said to have worn the wrong style of waistcoat to his wedding. According to Guy, the Amazon founder wore a waistcoat for a business suit, when he should have opted for a formal waistcoat.

“Jeff Bezos seems to have worn the wrong type of gear for the wedding. This is a dinner suit (or tuxedo), so you need a formal waistcoat, cut lower at the torso. He was wearing a business suit, which was designed for business suits. You need a waistcoat like the one on the right (in the photo below),” Guy shared on X.

Derek Guy pointed out the mistake in the dress of billionaire Jeff Bezos.

Guy added: “Most rich people nowadays don’t use their own tailors. They shop at luxury brands, which may or may not have their own tailoring department. But those places rarely produce true benchmade garments, and I’ve never seen anywhere that produces the highest level of product. To find a good tailor today, you need more than money. You need some knowledge.”

Guy also emphasized his point that Bezos made the wrong choice when he wanted to look the most perfect.

“Some people seem to be uncomfortable with the idea that there are better options than others. So let me decide: should the dinner suit go with a low-cut dress waistcoat or a higher cut business vest? If you were chosen, which one would you choose?” asked Guy.

Guy also sent a candid, somewhat ironic, message to those who opposed his criticism: “It’s shocking that a men’s fashion writer would dare to comment on the outfit of the world’s richest man, who spent tens of millions of dollars to turn his wedding into a public event.”

The Cut even ranked Bezos among the four worst-dressed people at his own wedding, alongside actors Sydney Sweeney, Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner. This page says that the Amazon boss’s outfit made waves in the men’s fashion community on X over the weekend. F. Caraceni Sartoria, who is “considered one of the best tailors in the world,” called Bezos’ wedding suit “the most horrible, terrifying dress I’ve ever seen in my life.”
