Coco Jones and Donovan Mitchell are engaged!

After largely keeping details of their relationship private, the Grammy-winning singer, 27, and the Cleveland Cavaliers player, 28, announced their engagement via Instagram on Friday, July 11.

Reps for the couple tell PEOPLE in a joint statement, “After an amazing season and a sold-out tour, Donovan Mitchell and Coco Jones took a moment to recharge on vacation, which turned it into a beautiful engagement.”

The statement continues, “The couple has been dating for two years and look forward to building a life together.”

They both shared a photo of themselves kissing to social media, with Jones’ hand on Mitchell’s chest — proudly showing off her large engagement ring.

The NBA star also shared an overhead video of the proposal itself, which took place at what appears to be a resort by a body of water with palm trees waving in the wind.

In the clip, they’re seen walking by a pool before Mitchell gets down on one knee to propose. After she accepted, they shared an embrace.

While many fans have been aware of the relationship for some time, Jones and Mitchell have remained quite private about their romance.

However, Jones has been asked about Mitchell on multiple occasions. “I’m happy, and that’s all I got to say about it,” she told The Breakfast Club in April.

She was also asked about the relationship on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast following online speculation. “I love the internet because they definitely clocked my tea. I love that. Little spies everywhere. I feel like I’m in a detective movie,” she said in February.

Jones continued, “But you know what, I’m happy. And I will say my music is the outlet that I use to tell most of my stories and my truth, and some things I keep for myself ‘cause this is my life, too.”

The “ICU” singer added at the time, “I don’t want to ever feel like I have to be somebody’s secret. I don’t want to make anybody feel like they’re mine. I think, for me, I”m trying to protect myself, and I’m trying to protect my family na whoever I love. So, yeah, I am more private.”
