All-Star Collaborations Announced For The 60th ACM Awards
Country music queens Reba McEntire, Lainey Wilson, and Miranda Lambert are teaming up during the ACM Awards for what is sure to be an unforgettable collaboration.
The 60th annual ACM Awards will air on Prime Video on Thursday, May 8, at 8 PM Eastern time. McEntire, who has hosted the ceremony 17 times, is returning to host this year’s event.
On top of hosting, McEntire is also performing during the ceremony…twice!
The ACM previously announced that McEntire would be part of the ceremony’s star-studded opening number. She, LeAnn Rimes, Dan + Shay, Wynonna Judd, Clint Black, and Sugarland will sing the “Songs of the Decades” in a 12-minute medley performance.

Reba McEntire, Lainey Wilson, And Miranda Lambert Will Showcase A New Song, “Trailblazer,” During The 2025 ACM Awards
Then, on Wednesday (May 7), the ACM announced another exciting collaboration. Reba McEntire, Lainey Wilson, and Miranda Lambert will join forces to debut a brand-new song, “Trailblazer.”
The trio spoke with Billboard about the new track. McEntire shared that she cried the first time she heard it. Wilson and Lambert, who co-wrote the song, also cried while working on it together.
Billboard describes “Trailblazer” as a song with McEntire, Wilson, and Lambert, “thanking those who came before them — and lifting up those who come after.”
Their song offers shout-outs to iconic female country artists like Dolly Parton and Patsy Cline.
“We were just having a conversation about how both [Lambert and McEntire] have influenced me and [about] passing the torch and blazing trails for each other,” said Wilson. “Generation after generation, it’s going to continue, but we got to keep blazing those trails for the next one.”
The lyrics also include callouts to the trio’s personal histories, mentioning their home states and prior songs. “We had to do it strategically though, because we didn’t want it to be so blatant — but more like a secret thing that you would have to listen to it twice,” Lambert said.
McEntire loved every word of the song. “I remember listening to it in the dressing room. I couldn’t find a flaw in it, not a word,” she said.
The group hopes that “Trailblazer” will inspire young fans, especially young women, who watch this year’s ACM Awards.
“It’s not about us,” Lambert said. “It’s about what the song means to little girls out there watching, or anyone out there watching that really has a dream or needs to be surrounded by people they love, and needs a little nudge to know they’re not alone.”
Tune in to the ACM Awards on May 8 to watch Reba McEntire, Lainey Wilson, and Miranda Lambert sing “Trailblazer” for the first time!
