Carrie Underwood Declares She ‘Feels Like the Luckiest Woman Alive’ as She and Mike Fisher Mark 15 Years of Marriage—Country Superstar Reveals Intimate Secrets, Unseen Moments, and the Real Reason Behind Their Unbreakable Bond That’s Defied Hollywood Odds and Kept Fans Rooting for Their Love Story
After 15 years of marriage, country superstar Carrie Underwood and her husband, retired NHL player Mike Fisher, remain as deeply in love and grounded as ever. The couple marked their milestone anniversary on Thursday, July 10, and sources close to the pair reveal a strong bond built on mutual support and family devotion.
“Mike’s been so supportive of Carrie over the years,” a source told Star magazine. “There have been hiccups, to be sure, but they’ve managed to iron them out.” The source added that Underwood, 42, feels like “the luckiest woman in the world.”
Living on their sprawling 400-acre farm in Franklin, Tennessee, with their two sons, Isaiah, 10, and Jacob, 6, the couple prioritizes family above all else. “When Carrie’s home, she’s not a star, she’s a wife and mother. To her boys, she’s just Mom,” the source said. “Her family’s needs are her priority, even though her music is a huge love in her life, too.”
Despite her demanding career, Underwood and Fisher maintain a close-knit family life. Mike, 45, takes on a hands-on role as a stay-at-home dad while Carrie tours and works. When Underwood is away on the road, the couple stays in constant communication through FaceTime and Zoom, ensuring she remains connected to her husband and children.
“She misses them so much when she’s traveling. She can’t wait to get home to the farm,” the source explained. “Mike will often take the boys to where she is for family time. It’s a balancing act, but they’ve found their groove.”
Underwood’s and Fisher’s love story began in 2008 when they met at a meet-and-greet event after one of her concerts. They married in July 2010 and have built a life that balances Underwood’s career as an American Idol judge and multi-platinum artist with a fulfilling family life.
In a May 2023 appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Underwood reminisced about their first official date, which took place on New Year’s Eve. “He moved very slow, and I was like, you know New Year’s Eve is coming up. Are you doing anything? He’s like, ‘There’s a team party.’ I said, ‘Do you need a date?’” she recalled, revealing their first kiss happened at midnight.
As they celebrate 15 years of marriage, Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher’s enduring partnership is a testament to love, teamwork, and putting family first—qualities that have kept them strong through the years.
