Blake Shelton Stuns AMAs: Publicly Serenades Gwen Stefani With Surprise Love Shoutout—Crowd Erupts as Country Star’s Bold Declaration Turns Awards Night Into Unexpected Romance—Fans and Celebs React to Emotional Moment That Redefines Relationship Goals and Leaves Viewers Wondering What’s Next for Music’s Power Couple

Gwen Stefani and husband Blake Shelton each performed at the 2025 American Music Awards in Las Vegas May 26, with him giving her an adorable intro.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are feeling hella good at the 2025 American Music Awards.

The No Doubt frontwoman and the “God Gave Me You” singer each performed at the awards show in Las Vegas May 26, with him introducing her big moment.

Blake, 48, had a sweet message for his wife, calling her “a winning artist who I really love.”

“Let’s hear it from my one and only,” he added, “the one and only—Gwen Stefani.”

Gwen, 55, then took the stage to perform a medley in honor of her 2005 AMA win, singing “Sweet Escape” and “Hollaback Girl.”

Over the years, the couple, who wed in 2021, have frequently gushed about their love story. In fact, Gwen—who shares kids Kingston, 18, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 10 with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale—recently shared how Blake helped her pick up the pieces in the wake of her 2015 divorce.

“Meeting my husband felt like a second chance at life,” she told the Guardian in November. “Because when my family fell apart, it felt like a catastrophe. How do you pick yourself up from that? But God put this other person there to love me.”

Gwen and Blake aren’t the only artists slated to electrify the AMA stage. Other acts set to perform during the live broadcast include Benson Boone, Gloria EstefanLainey Wilson and Reneé Rapp.

Meanwhile, Janet Jackson is set to take the stage as well, marking her first TV performance in seven years. The pop icon, who is currently headlining the Janet Jackson: Las Vegas residency, is slated to receive the Icon Award, which was previously given to Rihanna in 2013 and Lionel Richie in 2022.

The event will also recognize Rod Stewart with the Lifetime Achievement Award during the ceremony, making him the second artist ever to receive the accolade after Diana Ross in 2017. In addition to the honor, the 80-year-old will is set to perform one of his biggest hits, marking his first AMAs performance since 2004.
