“The buzz started picking up in Addis, and everyone was so excited for him,” said John “Buddy” Foster Benoit Jr., Foster’s father. “When they aired his audition on TV, it took off.”

But the deepest support comes from his family.

“He has a heart like no other,” said Benoit. “I couldn’t be prouder.”

His Idol audition combined powerful vocals with a touch of Louisiana flavor, leaving the judges impressed—and filling the entire town with pride.

“To have the judges appreciate his performance meant so much, not just to John Foster, but to me and our whole family,” Benoit said.

Support for Foster extends far beyond Addis. Nearby towns like Brusly, Plaquemine, Port Allen, White Castle, and Bayou Pigeon are all rallying behind him as he pursues his dreams.

“We’re so grateful for these communities,” Benoit added. “They’ve been with John from the very beginning.”
